FABULOUS 50TH BIRTHDAY

Since the beginning of the year, I have made twice as many cakes for family, friends and colleagues than I did in the last year. Super exciting! So, time to share some of the stuff I've been working on. 

This past weekend I had a double header cake delivery. Two cakes due on the same day - whoah! It was exhilarating to be able to bake all week long, and hopefully the end products were well worth it. This first one that I'm sharing was requested for a husband and wife that was celebrating their big 50th birthdays together in Palm Springs. So cute! The top tier featured Angel Food Cake with Fresh Strawberry Compote for him, while the bottom tier featured Very Vanilla Cake with silky dark chocolate ganache for her. All topped with my Very Vanilla Buttercream, a dark chocolate drizzle, and fresh strawberries. Two tiers of absolute deliciousness!
