Fabulous floral cake for four

My friend’s daughter was celebrating her fourth birthday and all she wanted were “LOTS OF FLOWERS”. With my love for fresh flowers on buttercream, I simply couldn’t resist taking up this project for my friend.

We have been so focused on summer fun at home that I've been super delayed sharing some of the amazing cakes I had a chance to create for friends over the past few months. Today, I'm reminiscing over this gorgeous birthday cake for my good friend’s daughter. It was perfect for a four year old little lady and her flower themed pool party. She wanted to go ALL chocolate, so we did chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling all topped with a very vanilla buttercream, and decorated with a cascade of fresh summer florals.

I love how the cake definitely gives off some rainbow sherbet vibes, but in a girly sophisticated kind of way. 🍦🌈 Which…makes me reminisce about how much fun it was to be a four-year-old during summer! What are your favorite memories from summer as a kid? I remember spending hours playing outside, running through the sprinklers, swimming at the pool, and going on road trip after road trip.
